Sentry World
Stevens Point, WI
SentryWorld is a multi-purpose building that houses golf course clubhouse facilities, a restaurant, six indoor tennis courts, a retail shop, pre-function spaces, community rooms, offices, and a major ballroom. The renovation project that took place was for a 105,677 square-foot building that was originally constructed in the early 1980’s. The existing building had become dated, and the goal of the project was to give it a new look that expressed the character of Central Wisconsin, take advantage of its view of the wonderful golf course, be a point of pride for the company that owns it, and to make it a community gathering place.
Rettler Corporation designed the master plan for SentryWorld’s outdoor renovation project. There were large timbers that were used as part of the new terrace and patio area. The patio area is accessible from the restaurant and the golf course. In addition to the sitting area on the patio, there are three large gas fire pits that were installed to create sitting areas that can be used when the weather turns cool. The landscaping around the building included many mature trees due to the Owner’s request to leave the trees and work around them. Rettler Corporation designed the landscaping that includes the limestone steps that lead to the golf course as well as the front entryway to the building.
